The Management Consulting Group is now accepting applications for its Executive Board for the 2025-2026 academic year. We have opportunities for involvement within our four committees: Competitions, 180 Degrees Consulting, Internal Relations and External Relations.
All undergraduate students interested in a career in consulting and professional services are encouraged to apply. We are looking for candidates who are driven, proactive, and bring innovative solutions to the table. Discover more about our committees and meet the incoming executive board below.
Committee Breakdown
competitions
The Competitions Committee plans and oversees Binghamton University’s largest and most prestigious case competitions. They choose case themes, organize competitors and judging, host workshops that promote consulting skills, and provide feedback for competitors. Members meet weekly with stakeholders such as Dean Bobinski and EY professionals to plan competitions as early as the start of Summer.

Internal Relations
The Internal Relations Committee ensures the organization’s programming is operating efficiently. Physical operations include tracking attendance, speaking in university classes, and tabling to promote events. Digital responsibilities include website management, designing marketing campaigns, and creating newsletters. Ideal candidates should be proactive with innovative solutions for the organization.

External Relations
The External Relations Committee oversees all of the external and recruitment-based operations to connect students to firms, recruiters, and alumni. External operations include planning fall and spring career week events, organizing guest speaker series and external events, and communicating with alumni to keep an updated database. Ideal candidates should be proactive with the goal of creating new programming for the organization.

180 Degrees Consultants
Our branch of 180 Degrees Consulting conducts pro-bono consulting work for nonprofits and organizations in the Binghamton area. They work within an engagement team to complete actual consulting projects for real-world clients to help their businesses grow, gaining invaluable professional skills in the process. Responsibilities include regularly meeting with clients, preparing deliverables, and developing solutions to real-world problems.
