Since 2014, our organization has maintained dedicated to providing Binghamton University students with a holistic understanding of the consulting industry.
Our Mission
The Management Consulting Group is a premier student-run organization in Binghamton University’s School of Management dedicated to training the next generation of consultants through interactive workshops, case competitions, and pro bono consulting. We recruit the top cohort of knowledgeable, motivated, and qualified students to facilitate university-wide professional development. Management Consulting Group members showcase academic excellence, constant professionalism, and an indelible desire to give back to the broader Binghamton community.
Our Committees
COMPETITIONS
The Competitions Committee plans and oversees Binghamton University’s largest and most prestigious case competitions. They choose case themes, organize competitors and judging, host workshops that promote consulting skills, and provide feedback for competitors. Members meet weekly with stakeholders such as Dean Bobinski and EY professionals to plan competitions as early as the start of Summer.

180° CONSULTANTS
Our branch of 180 Degrees Consulting conducts pro-bono consulting work for nonprofits and organizations in the Binghamton area. They work within an engagement team to complete actual consulting projects for real-world clients to help their businesses grow, gaining invaluable professional skills in the process. Members regularly meet with clients, prepare deliverables, and develop solutions to real-world problems.

Education
The Education Committee plays a manifold role within the organization, encompassing engagement and outreach. Internally, it ensures the efficiency of program operations, engages with university classes through speaking opportunities, and promotes events via tabling activities. Externally, the committee takes charge of recruitment-based operations, forging connections between students, firms, recruiters, and alumni.
