Binghamton STudent awards Gala

On May 7, Brian Petz and Eve Kogan represented the Management Consulting Group at the Binghamton Student Awards Gala, hosted by the Division of Student Affairs in downtown Binghamton. The event recognized outstanding student leadership and organizational impact across campus, with Brian Petz nominated for Student Organization President of the Year for his leadership and contributions to MCG’s growth and community. The evening celebrated the achievements of Binghamton’s student organizations and marked a strong conclusion to a year of innovation, collaboration, and professional development.

CDP Graduation 2025

April 30th 2025

The Consulting Development Program Graduation marked the culmination of a semester of intensive workshops, mentorship, and hands-on consulting preparation for the program’s mentee cohort. After completing the capstone case competition and traveling to New York City for the final presentations, students gathered alongside mentors and Executive Board members to celebrate the conclusion of the program and reflect on their growth with superlatives. The event recognized the dedication of the mentees and the community built through mentorship, collaboration, and shared professional development throughout the semester

MCG & BUCG COnsulting SUmmit

March 1st 2025

The Buffalo × Binghamton Consulting Exchange, held on March 1, 2025, brought together the Management Consulting Group (MCG) and the Buffalo Undergraduate Consulting Group (BUCG) for a half-day collaborative summit at Binghamton University. The program featured club introductions, skill-based workshops led by both organizations: including prototyping, teamwork, and case preparation, all alongside a campus and School of Management tour. The event fostered cross-university knowledge sharing, strengthened consulting competencies, concluding with networking over food at the MarketPlace.

WINTER CONSULTING NIGHT

Winter Consulting Night (WCN) brought together MCG’s most engaged alumni and industry professionals with Binghamton’s top consulting and advisory prospects for an evening of structured networking and dialogue in person in NYC offices. The program featured rotating small-group game based activities and an open panel designed to foster meaningful conversations, career insight, and mentorship connections. With participation from leading firms across consulting and finance, the event emphasized professional presence, relationship-building, and strategic career exploration in a collaborative, high-impact setting.

Interview Academy

Spring 2020

Interview Academy is MCG’s three-day professional development workshop designed to prepare students for consulting recruitment through structured, hands-on training. Hosted by the Executive Board, the program covers video interview strategy in a virtual recruiting environment, behavioral interview execution and differentiation, and comprehensive case interview preparation with firm-specific techniques. The academy equips members with the technical competence, communication precision, and confidence required to excel across multiple interview formats.

Fall 2016

In Fall 2016, MCG introduced three structured workshop series to engage students at varying experience levels and strengthen preparation for consulting recruitment. The Early Engagement Series provided freshmen with foundational exposure to consulting and case interviews, while the Technical Case Series developed analytical and presentation skills required to construct compelling recommendations. The Case Interview Series delivered interactive, practice-driven sessions to prepare students for the rigor and expectations of formal consulting interviews.

Blitz case competition

Spring 2015

The Blitz Case Competition was MCG’s flagship annual spring event, challenging teams to develop and present solutions to complex consulting problems within a one-hour timeframe. In Spring 2015, the competition culminated in a final round hosted at PwC’s New York City headquarters, where three finalist teams presented before senior leaders PwC. Finalists received direct feedback from Tom Puthiyamadam, then U.S. Management Consulting & Digital Services Leader, elevating the competition’s professional rigor and industry exposure.
