what were your RESPONSIBILITIES as an intern?

As a member of the Record-to-Report workstream, I supported the RTR team within an SAP S/4HANA implementation during the project's build phase. My main responsibilities consisted of assisting in the preparation of functional design documents, business process documents, and process flows for presentation to the project leadership team. Additionally, I worked within the SAP DE-1 environment to perform functional unit testing on our configurations and associated RICEFW objects, ensuring they were operating properly and meeting gap requirements. While performing these responsibilities, I would consistently ensure alignment of project management tools and communicate with leadership to provide status updates for reporting.

What was your favorite/most memorable part of your internship

The most memorable part of my internship was having the opportunity to travel to the client site. My travel weeks allowed me to experience working alongside the client while simultaneously bonding with my team and fellow interns!

Walk us through a day in the life of your internship?

A typical day started around 8:30am with both internal workstream and client meetings for several hours to review key documentation during the build phase, discuss project developments, and identify action items for the day. During these, I would ensure all documentation and project reporting was up-to-date while completing any other necessary tasks that popped up. Throughout the remainder of my day, I would work on completing various tasks and updating project management tools, periodically connecting with my team to collaborate on tasks and/or receive SAP training.
