what were your RESPONSIBILITIES as an intern?
As a Digital Assurance & Transparency Intern at PwC, I performed electronic group audits to support and oversee controls testing across enterprise platforms such as SAP and other client IT systems. I evaluated IT General Controls (ITGCs) and automated application controls to assess system reliability, access management, change management, and data integrity. I collaborated with engagement teams across multiple client audits, leveraging PwC technology and AI-enabled tools to analyze evidence, identify control exceptions, and document testing results. This experience strengthened my understanding of how technology risk and internal controls support accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
What was your favorite/most memorable part of your internship
My favorite part of my internship was working in a collaborative, team-based and client-facing environment. I enjoyed working closely with different engagement teams, learning from experienced professionals, and contributing to projects that directly supported clients. Being able to communicate with others, solve problems as a team, and see how our work impacted real client engagements made the experience especially memorable.
Walk us through a day in the life of your internship?
A typical day during my internship included attending client meetings and engagement team meetings to discuss project updates, testing progress, and next steps. I spent much of my day reviewing and analyzing client evidence to support controls testing, documenting my findings, and returning evidence when additional information or clarification was needed. I also collaborated closely with my engagement team to ask questions, receive feedback, and ensure our work was completed accurately and efficiently.
