We asked alumni of our organization turned career consultants what their favorite parts of their job are. Here were some of the highlights:

Variety of work: Being a consultant means never having lots of variability in your work. With changing projects and expectations means never having a “cookie cutter” work day.

Fast-paced environment: Deadlines and expectations vary from project to project, so there is never a dull moment.

Facing challenging business problems: Every day brings new opportunities to stimulate your mind when you are being constantly faced with the world’s most complex business issues.

Building a strong professional network: Between peers and managers that were all qualified enough to hold the same positions you will, building a professional network is incredibly easy and can reap lifetime benefits.

Ability to explore different industries: Consulting projects often involve working with many different teams in order to present an end-product and span many industries.

Working with smart people: Working in a team of smart people allows for huge diversity of thought and efficient workflows.

Ability to maneuver one’s career paths to follow their interests as they change without having to pursue additional opportunities: There’s so much variability and mobility in consulting that the job can move and grow with you rather than feeling the need to escape.
